Just came across this forum and thought i'd sign up and get reacquaint with the Commodore 64 and hopefully tap into some of your knowledge, as i've seriously been considering recently to treating myself to one. Guess i've been feeling a little nostalgic recently (for no apparent reason) I just remember the fun i used to have with my father back in the mid 80's, i was always lucky as a child as my father loved his computers, over the years it was either the 64, 64c, 128, Amiga and also has an Amiga CD32 for christmas the one year, but it started for me with the 64 and loved playing the numerous games, although i do remember having a colecovision before the c64. To this day for me the game that sticks out from the 64 years was Montyzuma's Revenge and hoping to be able to relive those memories soon. I even remember when my dad and brother were winding me up as they said they were going to play with his new mouse and i didn't have a clue what they were talking about, to this day i still remember the yellow and turquoise box when they finally showed me what the were talking about.
Anyways i did have an initial question that i was hoping for some guidance on, where is the best place to buy 64, i've seen several on ebay and have my eye on a boxed, fully operational, cleaned up 64, but is this best place to buy one? i certainly don't mind paying a few extra quid to ensure i get quality one.
Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.
Welcome Aboard! Getting reacquainted with the Commodore 64 is what we do here.
As per buying a machine on Ebay, the only person i trust to buy from is commodore_retro_store. He provides from recapping to mod replacements, you're guaranteed to get a quality machine with a warranty.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys its much appreciated. So today i took the step and have bought myself a 64C, a personal preference as i just find the 64C more aesthetically pleasing. At the moment quite happy with the purchase as it comes with the original box and manuals etc as does the cassette deck, also bought a 1541-II disk drive again in original box etc. Am i wright in saying i should buy a new PSU for the 64C? as think i saw on here somewhere that was advisable. Also been looking at the SD2IEC and fast load cartridge, i'm guessing these will be required to play downloaded games, is this correct? Been looking at them on thefuturewas8bit.com
