I'm playing this a lot at the moment... almost perfect as a C64 game, barring a few coding glitches:
1. In later levels when there's a lot going on at the same time on-screen, everything slows away down, most notably on level 6 at the start. This would have been fixable / avoidable, but perhaps the pressures of a deadline saw it left as it was. 2. The joystick seems to be polled from the main loop rather than the interrupt... at least, that's my guess for the inconsistent detection of the fire button in jumping moves. 3. The "flying cross wrench" that knocks you off platforms sometimes misfires and is activated at stages of the game where 9 times out of 10 it shouldn't... this is another obvious bug and one that kills your progress until you restart the game.
rickie: hello everybody I'm new to this forum so please be patient. My 10 year old grandson would LOVE to get his hands on the new working c64. I have searched high and low with no luck. I would definitely be his hero if I secured one. he does not like the mini
