Hey, gang! I just posted a new game review for an RPG, for the C128, which uses 80 column mode. The game is called "Knight's Quest" and was published in Loadstar 128, back in 1991. You can read the review and download a disk image for it on my blog, here.
I'm not a RPG kinda guy, but it was a nice read. What really caught my eye was "An FYI: This review was composed using ArcheType." I read that review as well, So my question from all of this is how did you get the document from your C128 to a modern PC? What conversion programs did you use?

Hey, glad you liked the article! I get the text by using VICE. I write the article on my C128 and save it. Then, I use my Retroswitch Flyer to upload the disk image (with my article) to my laptop - which is doubling as a disk server. I then open up the file with VICE, running ArchType, and then "print" to a .txt file.
I then go to my blog and copy/paste from the .txt file into the editor. It's a little cumbersome, but I like writing with the C128, so it's the easiest method for me to do so, right now.
Agreed! I really wish Brandon was still producing it... it really is a fun piece of 8-bit tech. I use mine all the time. What would really be nice, since I'm a C128 owner, is if he could get the device to support "burst mode" when you're working with .D71 disks.
I had a thought. I never used my flyer modem on my c128, only on my c64 in the past. So I have decided to hook it up to my c128 I know a can use cloudserver 1.0.4 and commodoreserver.com for disk storage. But what about telnet and BSSing in 128 mode (not 64mode)? Is there any terminal programs for it? What do you use?
You know, I don't use my C128 and Flyer in this way. I just use it to access my disk images on my local file server. However, from what I've read, Desterm 128 is a pretty good terminal program for the C128. You can find a copy of it over at Commodore.Software if you want to give it a try.
I also found this terminal program on Genie at one time, but I've never gotten around to trying out. It's called GWTerm. It looks like a pretty simple and straight forward terminal program that runs in the C128's 80 column mode.
