I’m wondering if the C64 WiFi modems out there work on the plus/4 and if there is a terminal software that supports them. I’d like to use that machine to access BBS’s while my 64 is doing other things.

Shared your post earlier on twitter and received the following replies:
* twitter.com/Delmurice - Should if it's the same user port. They use AT commands to connect to a router and to telnet BBS's. So doesn't need any special software.
* twitter.com/kneehighspy - Never owned a Plus/4 but as @delmurice mentioned, if it has the same User Port, it should work. But i would compare the user port specs to make sure all pin outs are the same.

Im actually in the middle of designing a WiFi modem for th Commodore. It appears the user Port is the same. If your WiFi modem is an ESP8266 with the common firmware it responds well to AT commands and you shouldn't have issues.
